View from our Hotel in Lisbon
These famous narrow steps we took to the Fado dinner
Fado dinner — we actually had DUCK!
Rooftop bar dinner — see the castle in the top of hill? St. Jorge’s castle — of course we went there our last day.
Excursions to Obidos, Nazare & Batalha
What a cathedral? Of course we had to go in! Kirk lighting a candle for Bucky.
You-know-who HAD to climb the rocks
Look at them LEMONS! Yeah, the vendor put the hat on Kirk so he can really ham it up!
Our favorite Grandma, Trena!
Nazare — good thing we are not here in the Winter. We hear the waves a gigantic!
These beach tents are only found here. Weird, right? Those cliffs!
Not find Waldo, but find Kirk…
Last sail in Lisbon. Sunset sail was perfect.
The gang!
Yes, there were 2 other guys, plus Kirk, on this tour (Andrew here)
Our California girl, Amy
QUICK SIDE NOTE: We passed this pizza place — love the signs: “JEZZUS”, “neon “PIZZA SAVES”. Pizza, bread and wine” and of course, “Holy Jezzus Crust” — made us all laugh so hard!
Love Trina’s selfies! So fun. Cooking class in Lisbon
Finally dinner! It was also Agne’s 50th birthday! (she’s all the way at the end on the right with the yellow-green shirt)
Last day… before we boarded our flight at 6pm. St. Jorge’s castle
Our Tour Director Extraordinaire, Richard came with us to the castle! He tell us it’s his favorite place to get a coffee and zen out in the early AM.
The castle came with it’s own peacocks!
Lisbon’s official Logo! LOVE this.
At the castle, we were able to see the rooftop bar we ate at the previous day.
The castle was really amazing.
How lucky were we that our flight was delayed 5 hours to 6pm and we got a bonus day with Richard in Lisbon?
We ate our way thru Portugal
Sailed thru it,
Overall had an amazing Mother - Son trip!
Parting group shot — of course they asked the tall guy to take the selfie
Definitely a trip to remember!
